Founded in 1969, the Lake Highlands Women’s League was established to support the schools, causes, and people of Lake Highlands, a historical neighborhood in Dallas. The annual holiday home tour event, along with its related Mahjong Tournament and Sip and Shop events, are the sole fundraisers to help the LHWL’s work to build community and raise funds in support of the residents of Lake Highlands. Last year, the League raised $237,000, reinvesting $175,000 into college scholarships for 53 Lake Highlands High School seniors, and disbursing more than $61,500 into grants to 16 nonprofits and schools serving this community.
