About 1 in 175 births in the United States is a stillbirth — the loss of a baby at or after 20 weeks of pregnancy, according to the CDC. That is roughly 21,000 families every year, about one every 25 minutes. Real help exists, much of it run by people who have lived the loss themselves — but it is scattered across dozens of organizations and hard to find quickly, especially at 3 a.m., when grieving parents actually go looking.<\/p>\n
