The Kansas City Champions Cup, hosted by Heartland Soccer, draws teams from 12 states and is expected to generate $7.5 million in economic impact for the Kansas City area.<\/div>\n

OVERLAND PARK & OLATHE, Kan. – April 16, 2026 –<\/strong> Heartland Soccer Association, the largest youth soccer league and tournament host in the United States, will host thousands of players and their families at the annual Kansas City Champions Cup, April 17-19, at Scheels Overland Park Soccer Complex and Garmin Olathe Soccer Complex.<\/p>\n

Held each spring, the tournament has become one of the region’s premier spring events, drawing more than 415 teams from 12 states. The large number of visiting teams and families is expected to generate an estimated $7.5 million in economic impact for the Kansas City area, supporting local hotels, restaurants and businesses.<\/p>\n

“This is one of our largest spring tournaments and highlights the strong regional draw of Heartland Soccer events,” said Shane Hackett, executive director of Heartland Soccer Association. “We’re proud to welcome teams from across the Midwest and provide a high-quality experience for athletes, families and coaches at some of the top soccer facilities in the country.”<\/p>\n

All matches at Garmin Olathe Soccer Complex will be live streamed and available for playback through VidSport, a next-generation sports streaming platform. As the world’s largest fixed AI camera installation at a soccer-specific facility, VidSport provides fans access to matches from any device and offers individual player highlights to enhance recruitment and game review.<\/p>\n

Media are invited to cover the event, which begins Friday at 5:30 p.m., with games continuing Saturday and Sunday beginning at 8 a.m.<\/p>\n

Heartland Soccer’s tournament series continues in May with the Midwest Mother’s Day Classic, followed by the Kansas City Invitational to close out the spring season.<\/p>\n
