Minneapolis singer Kat Perkins is seeking backers for her new Christmas album, “A Kat Perkins Christmas, Volume II.” To be fully funded, this project must receive at least $10,000 in pledges by 3:29 PM CDT on Thu, Oct 6 2016.<\/p>\n

“I LOVE Christmas,” Kat Perkins stated. “I want to make an album of [Christmas] music just for you – originals AND your favorite [Christmas] songs!”<\/p>\n

Her band includes Joe Harrier  on the bass, Dan Musselman  on the keyboard, guitarist Eric Warner, Jeremy Tappero on the drums, along with the Laurels Quartet from Minneapolis on additional strings.<\/p>\n

The album producer is musical veteran Eric Warner, songwriter and musician.<\/p>\n

“More musicians will be added as finances allow,” Warner stated. “This year [the album] will be featuring a choir of rising stars from the Midwest.” <\/p>\n

Classic songs on the album will include “Santa Baby” written in 1953. Perkins original selections will include “North Dakota Christmas” written by her uncle Randi Perkins from Nashville, Tennesee and “Minneapolis\/St. Paul” written by Jennifer Grimm. Songs from the album will be included in Perkins upcoming Christmas show.<\/p>\n

The special offers for backers pledging money through kickstarter.com include 18 levels of donations with perks, between $10 and $5,000. Perks include a digital copy of the new album at the first level, to a package deal with Kat Perkins Christmas memorabilia, multiple copies of the album, special mention on the album cover, and more at the highest level.<\/p>\n

Also, backers who pledge $50 or more will be awarded a video of songs from the live show “A Kat Perkins Christmas 2016.”<\/p>\n

In addition, a pledge of $125 or more will place the backers’ names’ in the liner notes.<\/p>\n

Along with completing two records since her last year’s television appearance, Perkins wrote, produced, and performed her first “A Kat Perkins Christmas<\/a>” show and recorded an album.<\/p>\n

“I’ve had an amazing journey in the music industry,” Perkins stated, “including starring in musical theatre productions, my own rock bands, and most recently finishing as a semi-finalist on season 6 of NBC’s The Voice Team Adam!” <\/p>\n

Perkins stated her goal for this year’s Christmas show is to do the same thing but on a larger scale. Along with music from the album, her Christmas show will provide family stories, and other entertainment features<\/p>\n
