SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA –<\/strong> When Adnan Tanveer walked into Anthropic’s Claude Code meetup last week, he was not sure he belonged. A finance professional with two MBAs and 15 years in financial services, Tanveer found himself in a room packed with over 100 developers. Another 300 were on the waiting list.<\/p>\n

By the end of the night, he had demo’d the platform he has been building to the event organizer and a security specialist. He received direct feedback on his code and stayed well past the scheduled finish as the room ran 20 minutes over time.<\/p>\n

‘Not a single empty seat,’ said Tanveer. ‘What struck me was how eager everyone was to share what they were building. It was not competitive. People genuinely wanted to help each other get better.’<\/p>\n

Tanveer taught himself to code at 39 using AI-assisted development tools. What began as curiosity has become central to his work. He now builds internal tools and automation systems that would have previously required hiring external developers.<\/p>\n

‘Eighteen months ago, I would have paid someone to build what I now build myself,’ Tanveer explained. ‘The barrier was not intelligence. It was fear. Fear of the terminal. Fear of breaking things. Once you get over that, everything changes.’<\/p>\n

The feedback from the security expert reinforced a principle Tanveer already follows:<\/p>\n

‘That is not a limitation of the tools,’ he noted. ‘That is just how good engineering works. You do not ship code nobody has reviewed, regardless of who or what wrote it.’<\/p>\n

Tanveer holds an MBA in Investment Management from the London School of Business and Finance and an MBA Advanced from Sydney Business School.
