Baltimore Ave, 60633. This new facility is part of TCA Health’s ongoing commitment to providing accessible healthcare services to underserved communities.<\/p>\n

The Hegewisch clinic is now open Monday and Thursday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with a lunch break from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. Walk-in appointments are currently available, ensuring that community members can receive the care they need without long wait times.<\/p>\n

A formal ribbon-cutting ceremony was organized for the end of July, pending the completion of landscaping work at the new site.<\/p>\n

According to a 2016 analysis by the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, the racial composition of Hegewisch is diverse: 42.5% White, 4.4% African American, 0.2% Asian, and 0.6% from other races, with Hispanic or Latino individuals of any race comprising 52.4% of the population. The neighborhood has a total population of 9,151 residents.<\/p>\n

Hegewisch is designated as a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) for Primary Care (score of 17), Mental Health (score of 19), and Dental services (score of 14). It is also classified as a Medically Underserved Area\/Population (MUA\/P).<\/p>\n

For many years, Hegewisch lacked efficient medical facilities. The closure of the Hegewisch Community Committee left the area without an organization capable of organizing large-scale vaccination efforts and providing necessary healthcare services.
