The provider of allyship training and consultancy will be launching in Q4 2024<\/div>\n

Male Allies UK, a provider of services relating to engaging men in inclusion, inclusive leadership and allyship skills, is preparing for it’s launch in Q4 this year. The social enterprise, brought to pre-launch by business psychologist Lee Chambers, has been researching and piloting over the past year to ensure their services are effective, relevant and impactful for clients across a variety of sectors.<\/p>\n

The organisation will provide masterclasses for organisations, workshops for teams and consultancy for gender networks and ERG’s, showcasing how engaging in inclusion and building the skills of allyship are mutually beneficial and lead to positive business outcomes. The profits from working with institutions will fund work with boys in schools, focusing on promoting healthy masculinity and identifying online misogyny and misinformation.<\/p>\n

Workshops will cover topics such as gender microaggressions, bystander intervention and gender stereotypes<\/a>, and be focused on creating solutions for systemic barriers that marginalised groups face in the workplace. The work is underpinned by their male allyship continuum and male allyship journey frameworks, created through research and working with partners to understand allyship and inclusion journeys, the barriers individuals face and how to overcome common challenges and objections from stepping outside of gender or organisational norms.<\/p>\n

Chambers <\/a>has a diverse background, from scaling and exiting PhenomGames through to building Essentialise<\/a>, a workplace wellbeing consultancy. He spent three years as a stay-at-home father, stepping out of his CEO role to do so. This reflection point gave him the idea for breaking gender norms and how that benefits everyone, and provided the spark for Male Allies UK after he found the experience made him more skilled, a better leader, and become more compassionate towards himself.<\/p>\n

This new venture brings together years of research and is timely in a world where 41% of men believe that gender equality has gone to far. Earlier this year, Chambers<\/a> received the Freedom of the City of London for services to equality in business and outstanding contribution to gender equality, and he was recognised as the UN Women Changemaker of the Year in 2023.<\/p>\n

With allyship skills becoming more valuable in a technologically driven, complex and uncertain future, Chambers says the time is now to invest in these skills, as the leaders of the future will be effective allies, bringing high performing diverse teams together and driving innovation by embracing difference, rather than fearing it.<\/p>\n
