San Diego, California – March 23, 2023 –<\/strong> Rhombus<\/a> is proud to announce its 40-Hour Domestic Violence Training workshop, designed to provide fundamental training on the standards, operational techniques, and best practices used in the treatment of domestic violence offenders. The workshop will be held on Thursday-Saturday, April 13-15 and Friday-Saturday, April 21-22, 2023, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.<\/p>\n

The State of California currently requires that Batterer Intervention Programs be certified and monitored, as well as adhere to specific guidelines and procedures. This workshop will examine how various programs are integrated in a community-wide partnership of agencies and programs to treat Domestic Violence in our community.<\/p>\n

Over the course of 5 workshop days, participants will gain basic skills needed to work within a Batterer Intervention Program and the DV community. The workshop includes lectures, presentations, participant experiences, questions and answer periods, and covers four 10-minute breaks and 45 minutes for lunch each day.<\/p>\n

Upon completion of this training, a person with the prerequisite education would be qualified to run the court-mandated 52-week DVRP groups for domestic violence offenders. Participants will also successfully complete the mandated initial 40-hour basic training as required in 1203.098 of the California Penal Code.<\/p>\n
