FreeCast is announcing the addition of HBCU GO<\/strong> to FreeCast’s line-up of free streaming television. Byron Allen’s Allen Media Group <\/strong>(AMG<\/strong>) free-streaming digital platform, HBCU GO <\/strong>is the leading media provider for the nation’s 107 Historically Black Colleges and Universities<\/strong> (HBCU<\/strong>s). <\/p>\n

Formerly known as SelectTV, FreeCast has dropped its subscription paywall and now features hundreds of thousands of on-demand shows and movies, as well as hundreds of free ad-supported streaming channels, with premium features available via the FreeCast+ plan. HBCU GO<\/strong> joins those channels as the company continues to add content.<\/p>\n

Launched in 2012, the free-streaming service ‍HBCU GO<\/strong> was purchased by Byron Allen in 2021 and is part of Byron Allen’s Allen Media<\/strong> Group <\/strong>(AMG<\/strong>).  HBCU GO<\/strong> was created to celebrate and share the legacy of our nation’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The network distributes LIVE HBCU football games, a terrific college basketball lineup including Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC),<\/strong> Southwestern Athletic Conference<\/strong> (SWAC<\/strong>), and the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Conference<\/strong> (CIAA<\/strong>) basketball games and a variety of programming around college life. The channel appeals to current students and alumni of HBCUs, and college sports fans of all ages and backgrounds.<\/p>\n
