BOPs Enterprises LLC, announced plans to debut their retail business BOPs at Benedict College\u2019s Homecoming in Columbia, South Carolina.<\/div>\n

Columbia, SC – October 19, 2022 – <\/strong>While BOPs offer different categories of everyday Black-owned products, they will focus on selling cultural home décor items that HBCU event goers know and love. BOPs plans to partner with HBCUs to introduce a wide range of Black-owned products from clothing, personal care, and cleaning products to their students and customers in the surrounding areas of their communities.<\/p>\n

The Founder and CEO of BOPs Enterprises LLC., Layla Sewell, is a client of Benedict College Women’s Business Center. Earlier this year, Sewell won the pitch contest of their Creative Entrepreneur Virtual Series put on by the Center and the City of Columbia’s Office of Business Opportunities.<\/p>\n

The business environment is undoubtedly rough, especially for relatively new organizations. It can even be more frustrating for Black-owned businesses and brands that have seemingly been sidelined. However, Sewell is looking to change the narrative with the launch of BOPs, creating a new and revolutionary distribution outlet that will support Black businesses and provide healthier alternatives to hygiene, household cleaning, and beauty care. “I want to create a shopping experience where Black businesses are supported and Black people are celebrated,<\/em>” said Sewell.<\/p>\n

BOPs will debut some of their products at the HBCU Benedict College’s homecoming on Saturday, October 29, 2022.<\/p>\n
