KNOXVILLE, TN –<\/strong> LGBTQIA+ nonprofit, Publicly Private, will be attending Knoxville PrideFest at World’s Fair Park on Saturday, Oct. 1 and Sunday, Oct. 2. Publicly Private will have a booth set up from 12-8 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sunday.<\/p>\n

At Publicly Private’s booth, visitors will be able to learn about the organization and meet some team members, including founder Kollyn Conrad. The point of the booth is to help raise awareness of Publicly Private’s resources. The team is eager to celebrate pride with the Knoxville community.<\/p>\n

“PrideFest is extremely important for visibility of the southern queer community,” said Conrad. “With visibility comes awareness.”<\/p>\n

Publicly Private was founded by Conrad to help offer supplies, support and empowerment to the LGBTQIA+ community in the Knoxville and surrounding area. Through education and exposure at Knoxville PrideFest, Conrad hopes to be able to reach more individuals in need of Publicly Private’s services.<\/p>\n

Confidentiality is the number one priority for Publicly Private. Through the organization, individuals have access to confidential sexual health resources and support groups. <\/p>\n
