J Mado, a Latin pop artist from the Rio Grande Valley, releases his single “Despegó,” a high-energy single along with an accompanying video.  <\/p>\n

J Mado’s music and videos, which will be both streaming on digital music services as well as available on his YouTube channel, will present a new and exciting sound to many listeners, a fast-moving upbeat reggaeton style.<\/p>\n

He’s already created a strong fan base of English-speaking and Spanish-speaking listeners with singles such as “Nenas” featuring friend and collaborator VEDO<\/p>\n

J Mado was born in McAllen, where he was raised by his grandparents and uncle.<\/p>\n

Although he has always been interested in singing and performing, he waited until he earned a business degree from South Texas College before launching his musical career as an independent artist, starting by creating his own label, “I AM JMADO Records.”   <\/p>\n

He’s been excited to create new music, get more people hearing it, and seek more collaborations.<\/p>\n

For his latest video for “Despegó,” he worked with the award-winning filmmaker Peter Parkkerr as director. <\/p>\n
