Miami, FL – <\/strong>Adrian Villanueva one of Argentina’s most celebrated structural engineers is holding a book tour in the United States. His book, Relationship between the rise of groundwater and structural problems in the South of Cordoba <\/em>(2017) has offered groundbreaking design and engineering concepts that have now been adopted across the Americas.<\/p>\n

The book tackles a prevalent problem in Latin America and some regions in the United States where sediment is unsettled ground or marshland creates problems for structures of all kind.<\/p>\n

With water levels rising in areas like Miami, Villanueva’s research and applications that have worked well in Argentina are being adopted in the US.<\/p>\n

“My research focuses on aggressively tackling the problem of creating strong and sustainable structures in challenging land masses that are prone to collapses,” says Villanueva.<\/p>\n

Villanueva is considered the preeminent Argentine in structures having been called on creating structures for schools, professional sports venues, and government structures.<\/p>\n

“I think we have been able to find a way to make structures safe and that make financial sense, an initial investment in creating sound structures has proven to be a sustainable move in the long run,” explained Villanueva.<\/p>\n

Villanueva is winner of La Ingenieria<\/em> (The Engineering) award, Argentina’s top engineering award. His conferences are often attended by urban developers and contractors looking for the newest ways to build structures in coastal areas usually spaces that are most lucrative.<\/p>\n
