The Pawty Shack is owned and operated by Melissa Adamides and opened her establishment on March 1st, fully licensed and insured, located in the heart of the Poconos, Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania, making a lifelong dream a reality.<\/p>\n
Melissa worked as a veterinarians assistant for 7 years, is certified in pet nutrition, and has trained and showed dogs for many years. Pets and animals of all sizes has been a passion for her since she was young. Opening The Pawty Shack is something she has been planning and researching for many years. Her goal is to provide a safe and loving place for all pets, of all sizes, to go when their owners cannot bring them along or simply just need a day for them to be cared for while they’re away.<\/p>\n
The Pawty Shack was built with the pets needs in mind. It is situated on a spacious property, attached to her home so the pets will never be left alone. There are eight, cage free suites, large enough to accomodate 3 small dogs or 2 large dogs, outdoor runs attached with access through a doggie door. Playtime, multiple walks, and one on one attention is included with every stay. Each suite is also equipped with a Ring camera that you can access and keep an eye on your pet while you are away.<\/p>\n
Melissa is only in the beginning stages of making The Pawty Shack into a fun and safe place for your pets to be. She will be expanding and building more areas for the dogs to run, a daycare facility for the needs of working pet owners, and adding more suites to accomodate the demand of boarding. Even a cattery is in the future on the 9 acres of land that she calls home.<\/p>\n
