There’s a family of educators at La Mesa Dale Elementary School this year.<\/p>\n

Nick Martinez has been teaching in La Mesa-Spring Valley School District for the past 26 years. <\/p>\n

He teaches first grade at La Mesa Dale Elementary, and has always had a knack for teaching and connecting with his students; bilingual, BCLAD, and Hispanic, Mr. Martinez is able to reach a large span of students and relate to them. <\/p>\n

La Mesa Dale knows that students are inspired by teachers they can relate to, and pride themselves on striving to provide role models and equal representation in their teaching staff.<\/p>\n

Mr. Martinez’s daughter, Viviana Martinez, attended La-Mesa Spring Valley schools from Kindergarten through Middle School, always with the goal of becoming a teacher. Even at a young age, she helped out in her dad’s classroom.<\/p>\n

This past August, she was officially hired at La Mesa Dale Elementary as a teacher. Ms. Martinez works just two hallways down from her father’s classroom, and teaches 2nd grade. <\/p>\n
