Vietnam MIC issued an announcement Circular 01\/2021\/TT-BTTTT on May 14, 2021, and made a final decision on the performance test requirements that were previously controversial. The announcement clearly pointed out that the lithium batteries for notebooks, tablets, and mobile phones that are applicable to the QCVN 101:2020\/BTTTT standard only need to meet the safety requirements of section 2.6 of the standard.<\/div>\n

Vietnam MIC issued an announcement Circular 01\/2021\/TT-BTTTT on May 14, 2021, and made a final decision on the performance test requirements that were previously controversial. The announcement clearly pointed out that the lithium batteries for notebooks, tablets, and mobile phones that are applicable to the QCVN 101:2020\/BTTTT standard only need to meet the safety requirements of section 2.6 of the standard.<\/p>\n

After the new standard is officially implemented on July 1, 2021, manufacturers can continue to use either IEC62133-2:2017 or QCVN 101:2020\/BTTTT.<\/p>\n
