How did you come by your stage name?<\/strong><\/p>\n

My Stage name Pimms Brooke has a very unique background actually… Pimms comes from the very first cocktail I made when I was 19 working in cocktail bars in London. Pimms is a very British drink! Lol! Brooke is from growing up and spending most of my childhood holidays with my grandparents. They had a brook at the bottom of their garden, which is a bit like a stream but wider hehe! And the E on the end of Brooke, one of my crazy musician friends gave it to me. There you have it!<\/p>\n

When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I have been singing since I was 12 years old! I attended music college in East London and I wrote\/recorded\/performed my first song Never Gonna Change. When I reached about 23 I decided to move to Dubai. I managed to break into an industry I never thought possible. That’s where I wrote; co-produced my first EP Under The Layers. I shot my first two music videos and my music had a high play on major radio and press in the UAE.<\/p>\n

To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Erm. I would say me! Lol! I always get told I wear “Funky Weird S**t haha! I just like to create tops and dresses out of scarfs, my look changes like the UK weather lol! Some days I’m BoHo, some days I’m Urban, and some days who knows lol! But I do think I get my fierce I don’t give a … From Gaga! J<\/p>\n

On your current project, how did you come up with the concept?<\/strong><\/div>\n

It randomly came up in the studio… I was feeling very trapped and lost at the time when I wrote it. Not being able to truly be the artist I wanted to be in a strict Muslim country. I was telling myself to “TRY” otherwise I will never become stronger mentally and able to be who I desire to be!<\/p>\n

I really wanted to share this message to anyone in the world who is struggling to make that move, hiding who they are and unable to see the light. I felt it was the right time to release this, with the current situation going on in the world.<\/p>\n

What are some of your greatest challenges, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Let’s do the good stuff first hehe! I love that I can pick up a hook and lyric melody very fast. I have the nickname “top liner” one of my producers would always have me on record if I started jamming to beats. I’m a professional and always look at my work as a brand and business. I love writing music and lyrics! I’m a super people person and support fellow artists.<\/p>\n

Challenges… I always want to do more than my means at the time. Finding serious people who value & respect my craft. I have had many people in the industry use and abuse my talent and it’s always a challenge to find people you can trust or at least talk real to you.<\/p>\n

Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I’m great at what I do and I give my best to my fans and audience. There are always new and better things to learn to honor and perfect your craft. But I say to be the best you can be!<\/div>\n

What are your plans for the near future?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I want to make a whole new album, write a book (from the journals I’ve written in since I was 12), set up my fashion brand, and move to the USA! I’ve wanted to be out there since I was 16! I think having my record signed over there (In the US) is a start in the right direction.<\/p>\n

Be yourself, don’t let anyone’s insecurities or jealously get in the way of your talent or mindset. Circles get smaller as you get better at your talent. Be around people who want to support you. Remember to never give up and we all have out up and down days. Look after your mental health, create amazing music, and don’t be afraid to drop music. Not everyone is going to like it… but guess what… some people out there don’t like ice cream! Madness!<\/p>\n
