Dominique Gordon grew up in Aurora, Colorado, and was writing poems when still in the 4th grade. In college, he rediscovered his passion for poetry again, and even joined two bands, Stonewall BLVD and Avery Jacob, as a singer and songwriter. Later he decided to focus on poetry. His influences include Langston Hughes, Kanye West, Jack White, Ben Gibbard, and Lauryn Hill.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
