USA – January 7, 2021 – Classically trained singer, songwriter, and award-winning genre-hopping musician Vandi Lynnae will release two irresistible new singles, “Lovin’ You Easy (featuring Bob Wilson)” and “I Fall.” The songs celebrate the idealised and realistic aspects of relationships and love.

A brand-new jazz version of Vandi Lynnae’s popular song “Lovin’ You Easy” will be released on January 19, featuring renowned Indianapolis-based jazz pianist Bob Wilson of the jazz trio The 2:30 Band. As with the original, the jazz version of “Lovin’ You Easy” is about “what I wish a relationship could be,” says Vandi. “Easy, fun, relaxed.”

Bob Wilson’s elegant and accomplished piano playing is the perfect complement to Vandi’s ethereal yet powerful voice. This collaboration marks the start of a new musical venture between these talented musicians. They have a jazz EP in the works, featuring songs in the style of bossa nova, waltz, and swing.

Vandi Lynnae will release a second single in February, called “I Fall.” In contrast to the idealised romance of “Lovin’ You Easy,” “I Fall” is, according to Vandi, about a real relationship she had, which “barely had a chance to take off” because of their respective busy careers. It’s lyrics reveal the realities of wanting something more but never being in the right place. “It was this off-again-on-again relationship where we weren’t really together, but he definitely had my heart… A tiny part of me still cherishes what we had,” shares Vandi.

As with “Lovin’ You Easy,” this single is a showcase of Vandi Lynnae’s singular voice and exceptional songwriting skills, honed over years of experience across theatre, pop, jazz, and countless other performance styles.

Both singles will premiere on YouTube, Spotify, and all major streaming platforms.

Vandi Lynnae is an award-winning American musician, singer, and songwriter who has been playing the piano since age 5 and writing songs since age 12. In 2020, Vandi was a librettist for “Our Collected Voices,” a contemporary opera piece by the Manhattan School of Music about the experience of classical musicians during the COVID-19 epidemic. Vandi is currently working on a jazz EP with renowned jazz musician Bob Wilson. She has performed at legendary jazz clubs such as Geraldine’s Supper Club & Lounge, The Jazz Kitchen in Broad Ripple, the Fountain Square Theatre, and the Chatterbox Jazz Club.
