Wycombe Abbey, one of the leading independent schools in the United Kingdom, unveiled its Hangzhou school on Nov 15 at a ceremony attended by over 500 parents and educators.<\/p>\n
Yuan Bo, vice-president of the newly established school, said that the school will take advantage of international educational resources, bring in well-known educators, and implement advanced educational concepts to turn students aged between 3 and 18 into future leaders with an international vision.<\/p>\n
According to Yuan, all members of the school’s education advisory committee come from prestigious universities, institutes and social organizations.<\/p>\n
They will work together to design a curriculum, train teachers and gather resources from overseas to help with the development of the school.<\/p>\n
Tig Mooney, founding headmaster of Wycome Abbey School Hangzhou<\/a>, started his career as a school president in 1997. He has 21 years of management experience at private boarding schools in the UK and 10 years of management experience at international schools in Singapore.<\/p>\n He outlined the school’s educational philosophy, training objectives, training programs and development blueprint.<\/p>\n Wycome Abbey School China Hangzhou<\/a> is located in the mountains of Xiaoshan district, covering an area of 13 hectares.<\/p>\n The school plans to open in September 2021.
