Kawika Terry, an author, crafter and digital designer, has announced an exciting new crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter for “The Misadventures of Lloyd the Llama.” A new and colorful children’s book<\/a>, “The Misadventures of Lloyd the Llama” was inspired by Valentine’s experiences as a state pre-school teacher, and his commitment to ensuring every child has a voice, regardless of social or developmental challenges.<\/p>\n

In “The Misadventures of Lloyd the Llama,” children follow the adventures of Lloyd the Llama, a llama who embodies the challenges and social struggles that so often accompany children living with autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and other social anxieties or developmental disorders. Lloyd, an unintentional hero, solves problems he encounters on his misadventures by merely being himself. Creating an environment where children can recognize themselves and see the power of embracing who they are, readers are left educated and empowered, ready to use their true gifts to solve problems they encounter in daily life.
