What started this whole thing?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I used to live in a small town in Illinois. I hated it. Small towns aren’t my jam. I’m a city girl, for sure. I moved away but I didn’t know where I wanted to move to so I started traveling. Through this, I discovered that my favorite way to see a city was by getting absolutely lost in it. The more lost you get in a city, the more art you find. It’s always in the places you least expect. <\/span><\/p>\n

Where do you find all your street art?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ha. My response to that question is always that it finds me. Which sounds ridiculous… but it’s TRUE! I used to search for it. But these days, it’s EVERYWHERE. Maybe I’ve just grown an eye for it but I swear every time I turn around, there’s a new mural. <\/span><\/p>\n

What is the focus of your Instagram? <\/strong><\/p>\n

Authenticity. I believe this is best shared through honest stories and bright colors! Everything on social media is perfect and posed these days. I think one thing my followers count on me for is honestly. I’m not afraid to say I’m struggling. Traveling full time makes my life seem glamorous but it also <\/span><\/p>\n

Do you consider yourself a travel influencer?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I don’t consider myself a travel influencer. I consider myself a connector. I am trying to build a community with real connections and not just gain people to follow me.<\/span><\/p>\n

What do you love most about traveling?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I travel because it makes me feel alive. There are so many reasons that is. I don’t know if I necessarily have a favorite thing. I love the idea of waking up and having absolutely no idea what I may encounter. So I suppose the element of spontaneity and surprise are my favorite.<\/span><\/p>\n

What advice do you give people who want to travel but don’t have the time or money?<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are SO MANY resources these days to solve one of these two problems. Start small though. You don’t have to conquer the world in one trip. You can even travel to a nearby town and get the same sense of exploration.<\/span><\/p>\n
