Twin Charade is bringing a fresh new twist to contemporary music with their daring genre-blending and overt theatricality fueled by the fiery spirit of Rock n’ Roll. The band, composed of singer Joshua Pivato and guitarist Alex Kachkan, has just released their debut music video for their first single, “INABOYASA”<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The video has been produced and distributed by Press Play Productions, a brand new media company founded and owned by actor Mena Massoud, star of Disney’s blockbuster hit Aladdin<\/em> and Hulu’s new TV series Reprisal<\/em>. Twin Charade has formed a collaborative partnership with Press Play Productions to release music videos in the future as well.<\/p>\n

The song “Inaboyasa” represents the musical duo’s love for theatrical performance and the art of autonomy. The fast-paced video is filled with outlandish expressionism and thought-provoking production that form the core of Twin Charade<\/a>. The band is now gearing up to begin live performances which will contain circus\/masquerade elements, in addition to releasing their second music video and third single in 2020.<\/p>\n

When asked what inspired them to choose a theatrical theme for their music, Joshua says, “We’re deeply inspired to follow our instincts with everything we make, and allow our emotion and musical intuition guide us. We’re inspired by cinema, by theater, by the circus and by magic. We’re also inspired to create an authentic experience and to bottle our emotions up and share them with everyone who wants to join the party. Everything we’ve made so far has fallen into place as if by Providence. But it’s also just been an expression of sheer, unshackled joy.” <\/p>\n

Josh and Alex met five years ago when they were members of a Prog Rock band in Toronto, Canada. When the group had to dissolve, the two of them decided to start their own band. “We always had great chemistry and like-mindedness and so we took advantage of that fact and began working on a new sound with only one rule in mind… anything goes, so long as it feels right,” says Alex. “We began the journey with what ended up being our debut single, Inaboyasa. Everything evolved from there.”<\/p>\n
