Venu Madhav Chennupati is the Founder and CEO of Hyderabad based company ZOLT Info Solutions which is a leading IT service provider in the healthcare industry. He was recently named among the Top 100 Healthcare Leaders by the International Forum on Advancements in Healthcare (IFAH 2019<\/a>) and received the award in the event hosted by IFAH between 16th<\/sup>-18th<\/sup> December in La Meridien, Dubai. IFAH acknowledged Mr. Chennupati as the “silent warrior” in public healthcare in India who made a significant contribution to delivering healthcare to people of India.<\/p>\n

His company Zolt Technologies runs one of the largest telehealth platforms, providing over 17 Million health consultations. Mr. Chennupati has also created the first private-public chain of health clinics in India through ASVAS Clinics, augmenting specialty services through telemedicine. <\/p>\n

Interviewer: Give us a brief of your background and entrepreneurial journey so far. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Mr. Chennupati:<\/strong> I have been working in public health sector in India for last 10 years. I started my journey setting up ZOLT Technologies in 2009, which focuses on developing healthcare technologies and currently runs the largest tele-health platforms in India. During this time, I had also set up a primary clinic chain called ASVAS Clinics in 2011 and after successfully implementing them, I exited it in 2016. Another company where I was an ex-founder was Kria Healthcare where we worked on setting up healthcare centres along with Apollo Hospitals for 30M population, I exited this company after successful project execution in 2017.<\/p>\n

Interviewer: What inspired you to establish Zolt technologies? <\/strong><\/p>\n

Mr. Chennupati:<\/strong> ZOLT was established to use technology as a lever to take healthcare to rural masses. We started our journey by developing a doctor on call software that would a help rural masses talk to doctors 24\/7. We slowly started understanding the market need and even developed medical devices like dox-in-box and moved on to a tele-medicine platform.<\/p>\n

Interviewer: What are the solutions provided by your company? <\/strong><\/p>\n

Mr. Chennupati:<\/strong> ZOLT currently provides tele-health platform which has health call centers, telemedicine with video scheduling and clinic management software. We also have specialty modules tele-radiology and tele-ophthalmology.<\/p>\n

Interviewer: Tell us about your venture ASVAS Healthcare and how it had impacted healthcare systems in India.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mr. Chennupati:<\/strong> ASVAS was the first private chain of clinics in rural clinics. We have a significant impact in addressing primary healthcare concerns. Our clinics were taken as role models for many states to build clean, sophisticated, technology-driven clinics by many governments to address public health demands.<\/p>\n

Interviewer: What are your biggest achievements so far?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mr. Chennupati:<\/strong> I had the opportunity to touch people lives through various health programs. My work in Araku during 2011 to reduce vector-borne diseases along Late. Dr. Mastan Rao was the toughest and we bought a significant reduction in malaria and dengue cases in Araku valley.<\/p>\n

Interviewer: Tell us about the public health programs you have contributed to.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mr. Chennupati:<\/strong> I have been actively involved in designing large scale public health programs and I had the opportunity to contribute to the design of 104 non-emergency call centers, 1033 highway emergency call center, 1097 National AIDS helpline and Mother and Child Tracking Systems for different states in India.<\/p>\n
