To honor Ogunquit’s long-standing history as an artists’ colony and showcase the local artists in the community today, Clay Hill Farm- together with TalespinStudios in Ogunquit, launched the NEW! #VerandART Project this past spring. Every 6-8 weeks a local artist is featured at Clay Hill Farm – their collection hung in the Veranda Room for the public to view and enjoy.<\/p>\n

An interior designer most of his adult life, local artist Paul Noël dreamed of one day becoming an accredited fine artist – fully exploring the creative and artistic side of his nature. Having studied locally with several well-known artists and abroad at the Academie de Port Royale in Paris, where he and one other student received a ‘Prix Special’ award for their exhibit – a first in the Academie’s history.  From that moment on, Noël was filled with a newfound spirit and quiet confidence that continues to flow through his beautiful landscapes and stills.  <\/p>\n

While oil is his favorite medium, Noël is of the mindset that artists should be well versed in several mediums, often combining his watercolors and graphite drawings in a collection. One of his favorite shows was titled, “Oil and Water Do Mix” – combining the unique beauty of both mediums to evoke emotions through art. “I’ve learned that you can touch people’s souls and heartstrings with images that are meaningful to viewers… there is no limit to the inspiration around us every moment of our lives”, said Noël. Taking inspiration from the world around him just as two of his favorite artists, Monet and Klimt, did, Noël has found his niche in the beauty of New England with a motto of ‘Listen to your heart and never stop learning’. “New England has always been inspirational to artists from all over the country, and I love following in their footsteps”.<\/p>\n
