A growing community and tremendous support from the community and local officials are the main reasons the Kennewick Dental practice has moved into new offices at 9501 West Clearwater Ave.<\/p>\n

“When we started looking toward a new and bigger office, we knew it was going to be a challenge. Moving always is. We reached out to some of the local people who know about business development. It was nothing short of amazing,” said Dr. Craig Barney, a partner in the practice. “Every time we had a question or concern, someone was right there with the correct answer. Kennewick is an amazing place to own a business, not just because of the amazing patients that we have, but because of the business leaders and government officials in the area.”<\/p>\n

Community support was the driver behind the decision. Since Kennewick Dental started serving the region, the number of patients has consistently increased. More space was needed to handle the growth.<\/p>\n

“We just outgrew what we had, pure and simple. We ran the numbers and it made more sense to relocate than to try to expand where we were,” Dr. Barney said. “We also decided that if we were building from the ground up, it needed to adaptable.”<\/p>\n

Dr. Barney said the science of dentistry has changed a lot just over the past 10 years and more advances are on the way. Being ready to incorporate those into the practice makes more sense than getting a new building very few years, he added.<\/p>\n

“We started in 2008. If you had told me about the changes to dentistry I’d see in 10 years, I’d say some of that could not happen. But it did,” he said. “If you had told me we’d be expanding in 10 years and the community would give us such support, I’d really, really want that to happen. And, it has.”<\/p>\n
