Kindah Foundation Celebrates Ovarian & Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month With Special \u201cFlorida Teal 5K Run \/ Fun Walk\u201d Event<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Davie, Florida – August 15, 2017 –<\/strong> This September, in recognition of Ovarian & Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month, Kindah Foundation (KF) will be hosting its 2nd<\/sup> Annual Florida Teal Run \/ Fun Walk™ at the beautiful Vista View Park, in Davie, FL. The Town of Davie Mayor Judy Paul will be celebrating with and officially declaring the month of September as Ovarian & Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month.<\/p>\n

Florida Teal 5K Run \/ Fun Walk is a family and pet friendly event, and a fun array of activities for all ages, including games, kids zone, face painting, rock climbing, art & crafts corner, DJ, refreshment, and live entertainment. The event runs from 6:30AM – 1:00PM and excitement surrounding it is high.<\/p>\n

“We are looking forward to a great turnout, seeing old friends, cancer survivors and making new ones too,” commented a spokesperson from the foundation.  “Our last event exceeded our high expectations and we believe this one certainly will as well.  Let’s make it clear no female faces cancer alone.”<\/p>\n

The event is a hugh hit with families since its launch, but more importantly, the funds raised enable us continue our mission of early detection, awareness, and survivors support services.<\/p>\n

Registration is $30 August 1st<\/sup> through September 21st<\/sup>, and $35 or more on race day (cash or credit card only). Special discount rate for gynecologic cancer survivors and teenagers. Children ten (10) and under walk \/ run for free.<\/p>\n

Registration includes a whole day of excitement and adventure including: free kid’s zone participation, a free t-shirt, food, refreshments and beer (for those 21 and older) while supplies last.<\/p>\n

Other highlights include a free raffle, high energy live entertainment and DJ sets, Local Unique Vendors, a Fine Arts Corner, all runners and walkers receiving a finisher medal at the finish line and custom trophies and gifts for the top performers.
