Philadelphia Jazz Artist Debuts New Trio<\/div>\n

Christopher Davis-Shannon’s fervent baritone floats over the bouncing rhythms of fiddle, and upright bass in his latest single, “Daffodil”. A sound that will instantly transport you back to the early twentieth century that was captured at Philadelphia’s own historic Ruba Club in a live recording with accompanying videography by Bob Sweeney, appropriately filmed in 8mm. <\/span><\/p>\n

Davis-Shannon is joined by bassist Alexandre Delcourt, and violinist Michael Durkan giving a nod to the American string bands of American music with enough modern sensibility to eschew feeling antiquated. The track is offered as a free download featuring a B side of the 1930 Jimmy McHugh, and Dorothy Fields hit “On the Sunny Side of the Street”.<\/span><\/p>\n
