The event aims to promote the use of social media platforms and the internet for local business owners to grow and expand their livelihoods.<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Spearheaded by the brand icon Mashable, June 30 has been deemed as the day where people from the locality celebrate the contributions and impact social media platforms have had in their lives. Mashable organized the event alongside other brand names such as BBR Creative, Opportunity Machine, and other agencies in the Acadiana Area.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The event aims to teach businesses on <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/seattlewebworks.com\/social-media-tools-for-retail\/\">how to use the social media in promoting<\/a> their retail businesses to increase sales and exposure.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/bbrcreative.com\/social-media-day-lafayette-2017\/\">BBR Creative&rsquo;s website<\/a>, &ldquo;Social Media Day Lafayette provides agencies and organizations around Acadiana a forum to join together and educate the community &ndash; while honoring the media that connects us.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The 2017 Social Media Day Lafayette hosted various activities such as seminars, workshops, and various networking activities. All of which were free of charge and open to the public.
