From October 17th to 18th, Mr. Hu Baishan, vice chairman and president of the company, led a team on a visit to Sichuan University and Chongqing University to open the prelude of NHU’s 2024 fall recruitment.
During the Career Talk, Mr. Hu Baishan engaged in direct conversations with college students. He tackled the theme of “Choice Determines Your Future” from three angles: “selecting an industry trend”, “opting for a company with core strengths”, and “choosing a culture”. By delving into these three perspectives and drawing on the current era’s context and development, he elaborated on the significance of young people’s decisions. In doing so, he vividly guided the attending college students towards making informed career choices and provided them with a direction for their future careers.
Selecting and industry trend
The course of human history can be distilled into the progress of science and technology. Each industrial revolution has driven productivity growth and significantly contributed to the world’s economic development.
Currently, we are in the midst of the fourth scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation characterized by artificial intelligence, big data, life sciences, new materials, and more. Industries like genetic modification, nutrition and health, new materials, biomedicine, and new energy, which are linked to the well-being and sustainable advancement of human society, are poised for rapid development. NHU specializes in products related to nutrition, flavors and fragrances, new polymer materials, and APIs, all of which are intricately tied to human life and health and the improvement of quality of life. These industries are flourishing, closely intertwined with the betterment of human life.

During the symposium, Mr. Hu provided an overview of NHU’s development history, its innovative strengths, and its talent requirements. NHU has been actively partnering with numerous universities across China, and it aspires to engage in cooperation with the two universities in areas such as high-level talent cultivation, undergraduate internship programs, and joint scientific research projects. The goal is to enable the reciprocal sharing of resources and strengths, while deepening collaboration with experts and scholars, so as to achieve mutual resource utilization, generate a win-win scenario, and collectively propel the continuous advancement of both parties.
The university representatives provided an overview of their institution and ongoing research endeavors. Both parties engaged in conversations and deliberations regarding potential collaboration areas.
Following this, the company engaged in extensive discussions with the school’s experts and professors specializing in relevant disciplines, with the aim of identifying areas of collaboration, leverage each other’s strengths, and uncover additional opportunities for cooperation.
