A woman named Annette Jimenez has started a crowd funding campaign on Indiegogo with a goal to raise $25,000 in the next 43 days. Her aim is to co- author a series of clinical books with her maternal uncle Jose and other close relatives. Her uncle is a current example of someone who struggles with mental illness. Jose was recently found by her family after being homeless for many years.
The amount raised from the campaign will be utilized for the welfare and self -sufficiency of Jose and others going through similar circumstances. Annette’s book will provide an insight into the basics of mental illness along with the clinical and family perspectives attached with it.
The book is meant for those who have gone through or struggled with mental illness as well as the family members of the ones suffering with mental illness. The success of the campaign will also ensure that the author is able to pay for the trademark of the series as well as copyrights for the illustrations, text and cover photo of the book.
A lot of amount will be required to handle the fees of the lawyer, illustrator, editor, and photographer as well as marketing and publishing costs of the book, which justifies the goal amount of the campaign.
Annette will also be creating video content for the book to pay for quality and emotional value. Expenses will also be incurred to travel from San Antonio, TX to Wisconsin and Chicago and surrounding areas.
In her book, along with mental illness, the author will also cover Parkinson’s disease, stroke, heart disease, diabetes, obesity, asthma, athlete’s foot, anxiety and other diseases.
