December 2, 2017 – Indie publisher Esquavi has proudly announced the release of an amazing new romantic fiction for Christmas. Written by debut author Michael Sceptre, the novel is the first in The Pied Piper Series and it sees return of The Pied Piper in time for Christmas. The book is a romantic comedy and continues on where Robert Browning left off in the famous legend of the Pied Piper of Hamelin. Moreover, it is a fiction novel that has fantasy, drama and a great love story to entertain teens and adults alike during the Christmas holidays.
“I hope the playful nature of Robert Browning and the influence of my all-time favorite author, William Shakespeare shines throughout the book,” remarked Michael Sceptre, the author of this book in a recent interview. Michael is a British-Zimbabwean who enjoys storytelling and this novel is going to be a perfect story for the upcoming Christmas season.
Another important fact about this novel is that it is quite different to Russel Brand’s Trickster tales: Pied Piper of Hamelin. This is because it is not a retelling but a continuation of the story with hope to find the missing children and learn more about the Pied Piper.
“Obviously the big question that the BBC, Daily Mail, and others have asked is – where are the missing children. In the book you get a good chance to hear from the Pied Piper himself and in the second book you have an adventure to go out to look for them!” He added while talking about the spoilers. In addition, Michael aspires to be a dramatist like his favorite idol, William Shakespeare because when he first came to England, he fell in love with the dramas and dialogues of Shakespeare.
For some the book will invoke some nostalgia as many people fondly remember the popular children’s story. For others the Pied Piper is entirely new. “When I talk to teens the only Pied Piper they know of is the popular song by a K-POP band, BTS!” quipped Michael.
