A video game that reflects the combination of fun and awareness was developed by students of the Universidad del Este in Puerto Rico. Young people from different fields of study helped create Aporte, the first interactive entertainment company in the world with a social approach to generate awareness and empathy for global issues. “Every one of us has the responsibility to promote well-being towards our society, precisely this is what Aporte does.” This is stated by the president and founder of Aporte, José A. Ramírez Moya.
The new entrepreneurs will launch their first video game, Kind War, for tablets and cellphones Apple and Android Tuesday, November 22, 2016. This first product is a casual video game that allows users to quickly blow into their microphone of their devices in order to prevent a virtual world from being destroyed by enemies and war. Users will be able to acquire new worlds, themes and even compete with their friends. 10% of sales will be used to promote goodness in our communities in a social, economic and environmental way. ¨Aporte” means “contribution” in Spanish and is synonymous with social responsibility. We intend to generate a transformation through our products using interactive entertainment”, Aileen Pujols, public relations manager of Aporte.
Students of communications, programming and administration are confident that their skills are capable of transforming not only Puerto Rico, but the world through Aporte.
“We are committed to our society and the best of all is that we have the support of our mentors and the institution,” said Yanítzary Alvarado, administrative secretary of Aporte.
