THUMB WRESTLING AS AN OLYMPIC SPORT? VENICE BOARDWALK THINKS SO!

WTF // TRICOAST ENTERTAINMENT
THUMBS UP FOR YOUR HELP!

Los Angeles, CA – August 21, 2017 – TriCoast Entertainment wants to thank every thumb that came to the “WTF: Worldwide Thumbwrestling Federation” first ever-live thumb wrestling competition, the “Thumble Rumble” Championship on the Venice Boardwalk this past Sunday!

Producer, Enrico Natale thumb wrestling against “WTF” fan on Venice Beach Boardwalk, August 20, 2017.

It was filmmakers, Enrico Natale and Steve Sirkis’ goal to make thumb wrestling an Olympic sport by challenging all to battle the professional thumbs of the “WTF” all-star cast, including Kash Hovey (“Another Blackout”) and Daniel Lugan (“Mayans MC”).

As winners defeated the “WTF” experts, their golden thumb trophies only proved that even thumb wrestling should be an Olympic sport!

After all, we already have had these six “dumb” Olympic sports …

1. Equestrian Dressage – aka: “Horse Dancing”

When high-end people sit on a horse as it prances and jumps around a ring.

2. Handball

When soccer, basketball and gladiator behavior collide to attempt to get a ball into a clear cylinder.

3. Race walking

Since when is “speed-walking” even a sport?

4. Equestrian Eventing

Dressage, show jumping and cross-country riding combined becomes one of the most questionable Olympic sports.

5. Modern Pentathlon

The combination of eppe fencing, pistol shooting, a 200-meter freestyle swimming and much more … Seems impossible.

6. Canoeing

Not to confuse with “crew”, but this sport combines aspects of kayaking with sprinting to a finish line.

WTF’s director, Enrico Natale, has produced several award winning films at film festivals such as Manhattan Film Festival (2016), Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (2016) and Los Angeles Film and Script Festival (2012). Released by Broad Green Pictures and TriCoast Entertainment, “WTF” will be on VOD this week.

WTF’s all-star cast includes Debra Wilson (“MADtv”, ”Avatar”), Keith Habersberger (“Buzzfeed’s Try Guys”), Eddie Jemison (“Oceans 11,12,13”), Samm Levine (“Freaks and Geeks”) and WWE Superstar, John Hennigan.
