Thressa Valinteen has announced the launch of a crowd funding project on popular platform gofundme.com to raise funds for launching her new shoe line under the brand name of #NSFW. The fundraiser that features a goal of $3500, will help her to order the samples and create the first supply of her merchandise.
The shoe line created by her features a line of nude pumps that’ll be available in colors caramel, hazelnut latte, pecan, mocha almond fudge, cinnamon, and cacao. The sizes available in these nude pumps are from 5 to 12 and they will retail at an affordable price of $80. The founder of this project, Valinteen is under 30 and has survived a full spinal fusion due to severe scoliosis while looking for a product suitable to her needs.
Although there were a number of brands offering nude pumps but as a black woman, Thressa wanted something more, something which celebrates the woman of color and complements every skin tone while also being comfortable for all day wear. Considering that nothing of this sort was available in the market, Thressa chose to create a whole shoe line dedicated to the woman of color and which go seamlessly with most of the outfits and fit into all the occasions. These pumps are also perfect to transition from corporate to cocktail parties.
Available from sizes 5 to 12, the shoes come in 6 beautiful shades and designed to enhance the natural skin tone and length of the legs. These shoes are available in heel heights of 2” and 3” inches to fit the requirements of different women.
Thressa went through spinal infusion surgery after suffering from scoliosis which hindered her walking, running, bending over and of course not walking in heels. When she finally recovered, she went on to look for her favorite nude pumps which provided her the comfort she needed without compromising on style but couldn’t which inspired her to create something of her own. She really hopes for the success of her gofundme campaign so that she can launch her shoe line successfully.
