The Leading Physicians of the World will Debut Noted First Female Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School in the Endocrine, Diabetes, and Hypertension Division, Endocrinologist, Meryl S. Lebof

The International Association of HealthCare Professionals is pleased to welcome Meryl S. Leboff, MD, Endocrinologist, to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in TheLeading Physicians of the World. Working for Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dr. Leboff is the Chief in the Section of Bone and Calcium in the Division of Endocrinology and Director of the Skeletal Health and Osteoporosis Center and Bone Density Unit. Having founded the latter in 1987, she specializes in osteoporosis, metabolic bone disease, skeletal health, and bone densitometry.

Dr. Leboff was educated at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where she graduated in 1975. She is a Trustee of the National Osteoporosis Foundation and in 2009 was promoted to Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, gaining the distinction of becoming the first female Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School in the Endocrine, Diabetes, and Hypertension Division at BWH.

Dr. Leboff attributes her success to her passion for studying skeletal health and improving the life of others by reducing the risk of fractures. In her free time, she enjoys tennis, skiing, and classical music.
