July, CA – Award-winning producers and filmmakers, Matthew Arnold, Phil Haus and performer, Mason Reed, announced they are raising funds to complete their newest work, a music mockumentary, The Last Playlist. The film producer, Matthew Arnold set out to raise a minimum of $5,000 on kickstarter.com to finish the movie, which is at the moment 95% completed. The film features REAL singer/songwriters, Mason Reed and Grammy nominee Elle King who play their own original music live in the film.
The movie centers around a fictional character, Nick Silver, once a legendary music producer. He decided to make a come back from a 20-year hiatus, with one aim- To revive the ailing music industry. Nick Silver plans out to do this, not with usual albums, but by creating a playlist. Starting off on his journey, he discovered he would be completely deaf in two months.
Racing against time, Nick Silver strives to make sense of his life, love, and legacy. He would later meet his former love, Nina Hartley (An adult filmmaker); new talent, Elle King & Lissie and develops a unique friendship with musician Mason Reed.
“This has been a labor of love for many of the artists and contributors, who have generously donated their time and skills over the past three years. After many hours of hard work, we have now finished the film and are taking the final steps towards releasing it to all of you.” Says Matthew Arnold
He comments further, “There are just a few final costs we need to cover: We had the opportunity to work with some incredible musicians like Lissie, Mason Reed, and Elle King. Elle’s career has skyrocketed since we completed shooting (go Elle!), so in order to license her music for the movie we’ve got to pay a bit more than we expected.”

Backers are needed to help give the movie a great distribution framework, making the movie onto the VOD (video on demand) sites used by most people, including iTunes, Amazon, Vimeo, and Google Play.
“The movie also aims to achieve the highest quality sound and images, hiring professionals to do the final Sound Mix and Color Correction. We want to share our film with as many of you as we can. A marketing budget will allow us to get eyes on the film so that your donation and our work can get out there!” comments Phil Haus.

Phil Haus is an actor, producer, and entrepreneur from New York City. He co-founded and led growth efforts for multiple digital apps, each of which reached number one in the Apple and Google Play App stores.
Mason Reed is a prolific songwriter and performer. He has toured nationally since 2009, playing over 250 shows and clocking over 60,000 road miles per year.
