The applicants have two different programs to choose from designed by The Institute of Study Abroad Ireland for teens and pre-college students:

  • A pre-college program where students can earn college credit
  • A general program for teens who want to experience an authentic and fun Ireland.

The Summer Camp in Ireland programs will offer a wonderful opportunity to experience the Irish way of life by learning, exploring and experiencing Ireland. The Institute promises the chance for the students to learn about Irish history and culture through adventure activities, field trips, workshops and projects, service learning, and lots of interaction with other teenagers from all over the world. The Institute of Study Abroad Ireland is located in the Donegal County that is known around the world for its stunning scenery, rich history and cultural authenticity.

In 2017 Donegal was voted by National Geographic as ‘The Coolest Place on the Planet’. More precisely, the institute’s campus is in the town of Bundoran, a place that is known as the surf capital of Ireland. Bundoran is in the center of Donegal Bay, with the magnificent cliffs of Slieve Liag to one side, and beautiful Yeats Country to the other. The area has plenty of historical and cultural features to explore and learn about. Furthermore, Bundoran has both ancient and the modern elements that offer a safe, friendly and exciting experience for our visitors.

The opportunity is completely different from going to Ireland as a tourist, because going to the country as a part of a structured program the students will have the chance to learn from local educators and experts and have plenty of things to do, places to visit and the perfect opportunity to meet likeminded youngsters from around the globe sharing the same experience.
