Spark and Spark started when two lovely and caring mother and friends decided to share ideas and creativity to create a modern and cute goodies their kids could enjoy. It began as a small line of handmade greeting card and birth announcements, which evolved into a diverse array of paper goods, educational gifts, sold in variety of retail stores and online stores all over US and other parts of the world.
About the Founders (Belina Lizarzabal and Jessica Welle):
Belina graduated from the University of Miami studying Advertising and Design. She moved to New York City where she started her business and found Chispa Design in 2006. Belina Lizarzabel has been a designer and has practiced since childhood. She has so much love for colors, form and function, creating all kinds of craft projects. At 6th grade, she was saddled with the responsibility of designing almost all her school’s special event programs and invitations.
She met with her friend, Jessica in 2011, and they both seemed to have many things in common. They decided to take Chispa Design to another level, which is what has today, birth Spark and Spark.
Jessica Welle on the other hand is a business oriented mother and wife. She had also fallen in love with handcrafts and designs. She was born and raised in Venezuela, where she studied Accounting at Universidad Del Zulia.
“We believe in embracing life’s moments through little details that make life more rich and personal”, they both chorused. At Spark and Spark, interest is built in developing one of a kind personalized gift that the whole family can enjoy. Their joy lies in seeing smile on the faces of their clients and friends when they receive personalized gifts with their names written on them.
