Students from CVUSD participate in TED talks at 2018 San Diego Festival of Science & Engineering

Cajon Valley Students showed their public speaking skills at the San Diego Festival of Science & Engineering on the TEDxKids@ElCajon stage.

The 2018 San Diego Festival of Science & Engineering was held March 3-11 at Petco Park. Hosted by the Biocom Institute, the Festival of Science & Engineering is an educational experience with interactive demonstrations, hands-on activities, and speakers to engage all who attend in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math). The festival featured eight days of learning, interaction, and behind the scenes opportunities for students of all ages.

Students from Cajon Valley Union School District were able to participate in the signature event of the festival, EXPO DAY, with more than 130 local businesses, corporations, and organizations providing interactive, hands-on science, technology, engineering and math exhibits and activities to budding K-12 science lovers.

For the third consecutive year, Cajon Valley students were featured on the TEDxKids@ElCajon Dugout Stage to share their innovative ideas. Students gave TED talks exhibiting their impressive public speaking and leadership skills on stage, showing the audience what the future movers and shakers of the world can do!

Cajon Valley Union School District is making new waves in innovative education. Just like Cajon Valley, the San Diego Festival of Science & Engineering believes that it takes a positive community spirit and engagement in innovation and careers opportunities to set clear paths for San Diego’s future leaders.
