After Cajon Valley Union School District was a part of Troxell’s successful launch of their STEM Playground last September, the event came back to be featured at Cajon Valley’s TEDxKids@ElCajon event on April 21, 2018.

Troxell has been a national leader in education technology for over 60 years. Troxell’s goal is to make educational technology tools an affordable and indispensable part of each classroom, and they are dedicated to matching the goals of individual districts to the right technology innovations, solutions, and training. Some of Troxell’s partners featured their own STEM and MakerSpace products at the STEM Playground event.

The STEM Playground lasted around six hours, and it featured displays of virtual reality, augmented reality, robots, 3D printers, coding tools, and much more. The playground was open to school administrators, teachers, and students during the TEDxKids@ElCajon event and gave attendees a chance to test and experience the new technologies showcased firsthand. The event also exposed teachers to ways they can incorporate new technology directly into their lessons, while also providing attendees with a direct connection to STEM experts, manufacturers, and Troxell representatives.

Terra Norine, Troxell’s Account Executive, is the mind behind the STEM Playground, and she was excited to be hosting the event again in conjunction with TEDxKids@ElCajon. Norine wants the event to continue to provide a way for STEM tools to be experienced in a hands-on way, and she is heavily involved in schools are San Diego County, providing them with guidance and solutions for their technology needs.
