Pittsburgh, PA – Meditation has become an increasingly popular way for people to improve their mental and physical health.
A recent study conducted by the Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh investigated how meditation affects people’s ability to be resilient under stress. The results provided that brief meditation practice – as little as 5 minutes per day – alleviates psychological stress.
Participants went through a meditation training program in which they were asked to try a variety of meditation practices. These include breathing exercises, poetry analyzation and cognitive training. The participants who received the training reported that the most successful practice was listening to music.

The first episode, was released alongside with the website on January 1, this year and is currently accessible for free by signing up for the Meditate 5 Minutes newsletter. The second episode will be released within the next few weeks.
