DALLAS — Luxury men’s wear retailer in Dallas specializing in select apparel offerings by brands like Isaia Napoli, Stanley Korshak will host a “happy hour” for the author’s fans, friends and bourbon lovers in town Friday, April 12, 2013, from 4p to 6p at 500 Crescent Court, Dallas, Texas.
In Dallas for this two-hour event, California author Edward Cozza will speak to fans, friends, colleagues and press about his debut novel Nowhere Yet, as well as a series of his favorite bourbons – a drink of choice enjoyed by his main characters.
Chef Dean Fearing, head chef and founder of Fearing’s Restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton Dallas, is expected to make an appearance to vouch for his favorite Kentucky bourbon. Known as the “The Father of Southwestern Cuisine,” Chef Fearing is a local celebrity for foodies all over Texas and the Southwest, especially Dallas/Fort Worth.
Novel Nowhere Yet is a story of four friends who meet in Palm Springs to relive old times, mend emotional fences and wonder if their best might be behind them. The book’s four main characters have spent many years apart, now brought together by the snarky and funny Rex, who has a shady past and arguably no socially redeeming value. The mysterious fifth, an exotic bartender with mystic tendencies, graces them with a message to stay in the present, accept their pasts and have faith in the future. She’s the kind of new friend the strong, quiet type like Grant could go for … that is, if he hadn’t just been in an accident and is now faced with Annie, a lingering love from his early days. Their angst at passing years culminates in dialog that we all ask each other at times: “How did we get here?”
Age twenty-one and up only. Cocktail attire. No children will be admitted. The book is available for purchase and personalization at the event.
