Tucson, AZ – The Society for Financial Awareness (SOFA) this week announced their newest contributing member, Nigel Valdez, who will serve federal and postal employees nationwide through online financial literacy classes. Valdez is an experienced Financial Advisor with Retirement Wealth Advisors, as well as a financial blogger at www.BetterFederalRetirement.com
Valdez with work to help federal employees of the Department of Veteran’s Affairs, the US Postal Service, USDA, EPA, Department of Defense and other departments.
Founded in 1993, SOFA has had the opportunity and privilege to work with various prominent companies and organizations across America. Their educational financial outreach, and years of continued success, has provided them name recognition and a reputation of excellence. SOFA’s clients include the FBI, NASA, VA, Time Warner, Disney and other Fortune 500 companies.
“We understand that discussing finances and financial blunders can be taboo and ‘off limits’ for many,” says Nigel Valdez. “We are opening the door for this discussion to help individuals find financial comfort through our financial workshops and seminars. These workshops are purely educational – nothing is sold or solicited. It’s 100% non-proprietary financial literacy education.”
SOFA workshops are designed to educate, inspire, and empower individuals to take better control of their financial lives. More often than not, this empowerment comes back to the organizer – and organization – in the form of good will and higher morale.
For organizations with retirement plans, SOFA helps satisfy ERISA (DOL) 404(c) requirements to further educate and help employees better manage their retirement.
They offer over 30 educational topics, which can be viewed here: http://sofausa.org/literacy/seminars/.
If you would like SOFA and Nigel Valdez to host a free workshop at your Federal agency, or if you would like more information about our organization, please visit www.sofausa.org, or contact Nigel Valdez at (520) 355-5237, or email@example.com
