The Denver Broncos capped off their 46th season as a franchise last year with a 24-10 win over the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50. That was the third Super Bowl victory for the team and their first since winning two years in a row, in 1997 and 1998.

The 2015 season was the Broncos’ fourth year with Peyton Manning as their starting quarterback. It was also the last season in Manning’s 18-year career in the NFL.

The team struggled with several injuries that sidelined players throughout the season. Manning sat out six games before returning as starting quarterback and leading the team to a Super Bowl victory.

The Broncos went through several coaching changes last year, including the replacement of head coach John Fox with Gary Kubiak. Kubiak and offensive coordinator Rick Dennison instituted a run-oriented offense with zone blocking.

The Broncos’ defense was Number 1 in the league in terms of total yards, passing yards, average yards per rush, and sacks. They also set several individual, league, and franchise records, leading to their being considered by many fans and commentators one of the greatest teams ever to play the game.
