Inventor and entrepreneur, Russell Brown has announced that his team’s Kickstarter campaign is live for Bibbit, a solution to deal with mealtime mess of babies. The waterproof bib has been designed to keep both the baby and the high chair seat clean.
“We are glad to announce that our Kickstarter campaign for Bibbit is already live and underway,” says Russell Brown who is an electrical engineer and is a problem-solver. “We have created a waterproof bib that makes meal times easy for the baby and the parents. We have received popular votes for the Arrows bib and that’s what we are focusing on initially.”
The discovery of mold in the deep recesses of their baby’s high chair jolted Russell and Hayley into action and they started using their expertise to create a solution for messy mealtime problems. While spoon feeding would have been the easiest way of managing the issue, they wanted the baby to enjoy mealtime with the family and reap the immense benefits of self-feeding.
The present design of Bibbit was arrived at after several trials and errors. The design was ratified by many parents who were delighted with the success of the invention. The whole design was recreated by the engineer in Russell using drafting software. They also took help from a fashion designer friend to get the end product right. The Bibbit prototypes were tested on various parameters on high chairs to ensure that it works perfectly.
Their friends also helped in the process of finalizing the design as they took the prototypes home for a practical trial and gave honest and valuable feedback at every stage of the designing process. The final version works on almost every model of high chair.
Russell Brown is committed to delivering a product that can withstand extensive laundering and baby battering. Russell Brown and his designing team have chosen the right fabric after several rounds of testing and research. They now need capital for mass production and must also have minimum order quantities to make Bibbits affordable for parents.
Maintaining quality and ensuring smooth and timely manufacturing are the two stumbling blocks that the project might run into according to Russell. They are taking steps to address the problem. They do have limitations about controlling manufacturing delays.
The Kickstarter campaign was launched with the aim of raising finances to meet the mass production demands of Bibbit. They are aiming to raise CA$ 10,000. The deadline for the project funding is 8 September, 2017. Contributors to the campaign can expect attractive incentives according to their level of contribution.
Russell Brown is positive that his dream project Bibbit will be the one that parents would prefer to protect their baby’s clothes and seat from mealtime mess.
