Los Angeles, CA – May 3, 2018 –

“It’s Romeo & Juliet time again in Blademil Grullon uber-violent A MIAMI LOVE STORY.” – Trust Movies.

TRICOAST ENTERTAINMENT: Co-written and directed by Blademil Grullon Grullon (‘Love and Reality’, ‘Fade Away’), alongside Max J. Gabriel and Marco Molinet, ‘A MIAMI LOVE STORY’ is a would-be “Romeo & Juliet” love tale, but has the unique twist of capturing Miami’s raw, gritty streets and culture, exemplifying that love – no matter the age, religion or reason – is never easy. “As co-writer, co-editor and director, Mr. Gruellon does offer flashy, fast camerawork along the way, and there is also a nice musical score via Wyclef Jean,” wrote Trust MoviesJames van Maanen.

As the first-ever film to be released as a national theatrical with the collaboration of Haitians and Dominican, ‘A MIAMI LOVE STORY’ takes place on the urban, art streets of Miami, whose inhabitants are heavily influenced from the Caribbean Sea’s powerful cultural divide between the Haitians and Dominicans. The “Romeo & Juliet” inspired story takes an interesting twist, allowing Miami’s realistic culture clash of the Haitian and Dominican gang warfare and street violence to come to life when the budding romance of young love breaks two teenagers apart – artistic Dominican, Sandy (Miguel Fuego Duran), who wants to leave gang life to become an artist, and the Haitian college-student girl, Flo (Lexi Delarosa).

“Yes, it’s those Montague’s and Capulet’s, at war once more, this time as Haitians – vs. -Dominicans in the new kill-and-thrill-fest” – Trust Movies.

‘A MIAMI LOVE STORY’ showcases the real “kill-and-thrill-fest” between Haitians and Dominicans in Miami, as Patrick (Paul Antoine), the Haitian top dog of Miami’s streets violently battles the Dominican, Felipe (Mitch Lemos), for total control and authority of the Miami street-drug markets.

Sandy and Flo’s relationship comes to a halt when her brother, of course, runs the opposing Haitian gang,” wrote James van Maanen. And just to stir up more cultural conflict, Felipe’s nephew is Sandy. Will Sandy and Flo pick love or their ethnical loyalties? Or will it result in an intense climax similar to “Romeo and Juliet”?

“What do you really do for a living?” Flo asks her brother, Patrick.

‘A MIAMI LOVE STORY’ spreads the message of peace between Haitian and Dominican cultures with its cast and crew, including the lead of Sandy by Fuego, a Dominican rapper, global sensation, and inspiration to both those advocating and suffering from cultural discrimination (pictured above). Produced by Miami native Marco Mall, he describes ‘A MIAMI LOVE STORY’ is a provocative tale as a “story is about forgiving the past and moving into the future. Even though you see a little bit of violence — that’s reality — at the end of the day we make sure that we have a positive message,” wrote Christine Dimattei from WLRN.

The film’s “final voice-over explaining how very important love is and how it can conquer all should have you,” wrote James van Maanen. Gritty, raw, and truthful, the film brings to light Miami’s urban street culture and proves that even in Miami, which provides and instills hope that longtime cultural conflicts can be conquered. ‘A MIAMI LOVE STORY’ is now available on VOD platforms, including Amazon, InDemand, DirecTV, Vimeo on Demand, Fandango, InDemand and DISH Network.
