R-Mean Releases Visuals for “Land of the Free”

““One of the illest lyricists to EVER spit on Shade45” – Sway in the Morning”

When R-Mean appeared on Sway in the Morning’s Doomsday Cypher last December, he announced his plan to drop a brand-new song every single week of 2017 as part of his #MeanMondays campaign, garnering the attention of 2Dope Boyz, XXL Magazine, and Hot New Hip Hop, as well as West Coast tastemakers like DJ Carisma.

After completing the first six months of the campaign and releasing his first compilation of tracks from the series, Mean Mondays Mixtape Volume 1, the LA Rapper and songwriter dropped visuals for the 8th of his MeanMondays tracks, “Land of the Free”.

“Land of the Free” is a withering indictment of the American government, rapped over a vintage, Big K.R.I.T. beat, and the rapper’s second visual release this month. On July 11th, R-Mean dropped a video for “Pac Told Me”, the 13th installment in his campaign.

Though the “Land of the Free” video adds an exciting, new dynamic to the #MeanMondays campaign, fans can also expect 22 more tracks from the prolific lyricist in the weeks to come. R-Mean still has five months of the campaign to complete and will continue to drop a new track every Monday until the year’s end.
