The International Association of HealthCare Professionals is pleased to welcome David R. Squires, MD, Oncologist, to their prestigious organization with his upcoming publication in The Leading Physicians of the World. Dr. Squires is a highly trained and qualified oncologist with a vast expertise in all facets of his work, especially medical oncology. Dr. Squires has been in practice for over 15 years and is currently serving patients at Augusta Oncology in Augusta, Georgia. Augusta Oncology provides the most effective, convenient, and compassionate care for people with cancer and blood disorders in a community based setting.
Dr. Squires attended the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City, where he received his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1997, and completed his residency in internal medicine. He then completed his fellowship at the National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health, during which time he was involved in clinical trial research with tumor-targeted therapies. Furthermore, Dr. Squires received his Master of Health Sciences in Clinical Research degree from Duke University as part of the NCI Clinical Scholars Program. He holds dual board certification in internal medicine and medical oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and maintains a professional membership with the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
Dr. Squires is an inductee of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He attributes his success to his compassion, and his own life experiences, deciding to become an oncologist in 1993 when he started his own 3-year battle with leukemia. This experience inspires him every day to help others, and allows him to offer patients a unique perspective while compassionately helping them through challenging times. When he is not working, Dr. Squires enjoys family time, volunteering for his church and his community, and scouting activities.
