Dr. Khokhar has been in practice for more than 17 years and is currently serving at Truxtun Psychiatric Medical Group in Bakersfield, California. Furthermore, he holds hospital privileges at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital, and Mercy Hospitals of Bakersfield.

Dr. Khokhar studied at Government Medical College, Patiala, where he graduated with his medical degree in 1976. Upon relocating to the United States, he served his psychiatry residency at Augustus F. Hawkins Mental Health Center/UCLA, and underwent fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry at Fairlawn Mental Health Center, and Wayne State University School of Medicine. In order to maintain his forefront position in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry, Dr. Khokhar maintains professional memberships with the American Psychiatry Association and the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Association. He credits his successful career to his love for the field and passion for helping patients. When Dr. Khokhar is not treating patients, he tends to his ten horses.
